Airne Banehoof the Greenseeker

Airne – Dec 18, 2009 – Level 39

Airne Banehoof the Greenseeker

 Class: Restoration Druid/Aspiring Plagueshifter

Birthplace: Thousand Needles, Kalimdor, Azeroth

Homeplace: Nomadic, but frequents Thunder Bluff as often as his travels permit.

History:

Airne was born in Kalimdor 20 years prior to the exodus of the New Horde to Kalimdor. From a young age, Airne was taught the ways of the Druid, his father being a powerful wielder of the powers of nature.  In his father’s teachings, which were much more focused on the feral aspect of the druid, Airne found an affinity for the restoration of decayed, corrupted and otherwise defiled life.  While his father preferred that Airne focus on becoming a warrior dedicated to the Earthmother, he accepted Airne's decision to break away from his tribesman to seek out lands which had need of his unique skills and dedication.  It was then, at the age of 20, a mere calf still, that Airne traversed the great sea and set foot for the first time in a ravaged Eastern Kingdoms shortly after the end of the third war.

The jungles of Stranglethorn were a harsh, unforgiving environment for the druid. Finding that the lush jungle had no need for one of his skills and, feeling a great tremor of fel energies in the lands to the east, Airne sought out the lands to the north, passing through the Eastern Kingdoms and Khaz Modan before finally arriving in the desecrated wastes that were now Lordaeron.

He knew it was here that the Earthmother had beckoned him, for the land was rife with virulence, famine and death.  It was to the astonishment of Airne that the dead of this place did not stay in the earth, but roamed as unyielding terrors who sought to reap their seed upon the world.  Even the more refined undead, calling themselves the Forsaken, seemed to be at total odds with the druid.

After more than a few close calls with death, Airne was forced to give up his mission of healing and returned to Kalimdor.  In his absense, however, much had changed.  The Horde had arrived just as he had been leaving and had since grown into the main powerhouse of the continent.  The Tauren had settled in Mulgore and had a place they could call home.  Most devastatingly of all, he learned that much of his tribe had been annihilated at the Battle of Mount Hyjal, incinerated by the blast that consumed Archimonde.  His father had been among these brave souls.  Airne's spirit had been empowered by the knowledge that his father had died with honor, protecting the very essence that he had taught his son to revere.

Determination once more took its grip on Airne, and it drives him to become not just a so-called 'Greenseeker' but a more formidable  healer, a master of the dominion of restoration. He will one day be known as “Airne Banehoof the Reclaimer!”

Vrogash Bloodletter

Race: Orc

Class: Assassin, Rogue, Clansman of the Shattered Hand.

Birthplace: Zeth'Kur, Hellfire Peninsula, Draenor.

Homeplace: Orgrimmar, Durotar, Kalimdor.

Personality:

Physical Appearance:

History:

Vrogash was born in pre-invasion Draenor at the then coastal city of Zeth'Kur to Beserker Karrug Ribcrusher of the Shattered Hand Clan and Master Assassin Lorug Bloodbearer of the Laughing Skull.  After the Alliance razing of the shipyards and outlaying city at Zeth’Kur, Vrogash, but a whelp at the time, and his mother took refuge in the mountains to the west of the Dark Portal.  As the sundering of Draenor began, the two managed to escape through the Portal with Grom Hellscream and Kilrogg Deadeye.  Once in Azeroth, the pair took refuge in the cavernous hills of Wetlands, largely ignored by the Dragonmaw Clan at Grim Batol and hidden away from the Alliance under the imposing shroud of the enslaved red dragonflight.

From here they remained hidden, watching the events of the world around them with growing uncertainty.  What was to become of them?  The Dragonmaw clan was driven from Grim Batol with the sudden revolt of the Dragon Queen Alexstraza and the dwarves soon returned to Khaz Modan.  Caravans could be spotted carting droves of lethargic orcs to the north, Vrogash and Lorug began to worry their fate may soon be the same.  For years they stalked the shadows of the marshes, narrowly avoiding the attention of the Alliance forces in the area.

A few years passed when suddenly a band of savage orcs came passing through the marshes and had engaged in a heated battle with some of the dwarven forces in the area.  Vrogash had happened upon the encounter while hunting crocolisks.  Unable to allow his estranged brethren to battle on their own, Vrogash disregarded the safety he and his mother had worked so hard to establish and descended upon some of the guards like a malevolent shadow, silent and brutal.  The first guard never had a chance to see his assailant and never got the chance to give warning to his fellow guardsman.  Vrogash managed to slip back into the murky waters of the marsh, nearly unnoticed.  This routine of murder was something Vrogash would come to excel at.  Within a few moments, the band of orcs’ brutal tactics and Vrogash’s silent blade had slaughtered the hapless band of dwarves.

Though the orcs had watched Vrogash pass in and out of the waters to strike at his victims, he had not allowed them to watch his exit from the scene.  The bewildered orcs cried out to him “Show yourself, brother!  We make for the lands across the Great Sea, to Kalimdor!  The Horde has rallied itself once more!”  Vrogash said nothing, letting the band believe he had left, but inside he was swelling with excitement.

Vrogash returned to his hovel and told Lorug of the news he had just heard and finally at the age of 19, Vrogash and his mother made for Kalimdor, stowed away aboard an alliance cargo ship.  The two made an arduous trek from Dustwallow Marsh to the new capital of Orgrimmar.  On the way they encountered an Alliance patrol and Lorug was struck down in combat.  In her final words to her son she told him of his father, a Beserker of the Shattered Hand -the remnants of which had been rumored to ally themselves with the New Horde- in hopes that he would seek him out.

Vrogash reached Durotar shortly thereafter, where he began training as an Assassin, seeking out the old masters of the Shattered Hand.
