22. The Story of
Zumigath
(a shaman)

Lok'tar, I am Zumigath.
I am one of the Orcs that Thrall freed from those cursed Human internment camps. I followed him and was impressed enough that I took up the shamanistic way of life. Even still, shaman that I am, I hate Humans with all my might and will seek means to fight them.
In my travels I have come across many races and have been especially impressed by the goblins and the works that they have produced. It is from my contact with them that I have taken engineering as a profession. It may seem strange that an Orc shaman may have taken on engineering. It seems strange to me too, upon reflection, but times change and struggles for survival call, no demand that one adapt that which is necessary to meet these changing times. I feel that technology helped defeat and enslave the Orcs.
While I will
strive to listen to the shamanistic spirits, I will utilize whatever I
can to protect my fellow Orcs, nay all of the peoples of the Horde.
These two opposite tenets, shamanism and engineering create such a
turmoil within me that, at times, I feel that I may burst from It.
Still I struggle to hold onto my own Honor and duty to my clan and the
Horde. This is why I seek alliance and comradeship with all
members of the Horde. I hope to both learn from and inspire all
members of the Horde and ultimately to be among those to lead the Horde
--- to lead the Horde back to its honorable roots and into the new world
that has been thrust upon us.
