What do I do to get "Keyed" for KARAZHAN?

I know many of you are going to say "you don't have to be keyed anymore"!

But, Hey someone needs to have a key to get in and out of that place... so why shouldn't it be YOU? Besides: You will get to learn how to play WITH your guildie friends in an instance setting (which is different than soloing), by going with your fellow guildies...and getting keyed. And, you will get gold, xp, and gear too!

Here is a little something I found on "WoW Insider" that I think you may find interesting...
... So true, so sad...

Children of Wrath: Dawn of a new Generation

Posted by Starman in Introspective, WotLK

There was a time not long ago, when a new generation was born.  A generation who never played the game when shaman didn't exist.  A generation who had no concept of what a rep grind really meant back in the day.  A generation who would have scant chance to ever step foot in Blackwing Lair, Molten Core, Upper Blackrock Spire, or Dire Maul (or Onyxia's Lair). That generation lived to become level 60.

Then a new generation came into being, and that generation lived to level to 58 and then take their first undergeared steps into the Outland.  A land rich in gold and gear.  A land where undergeared easy to kill toons became monstrous killing machines.

A world…. that has come to an end.

A world, that has become a shadow of its former self.

Like the Age of Azeroth…. The BC Babies era is at an end.

Their scars have been earned.

Their noobdom shed in favor of the ideology of the grizzled veteran.

Enter the Child of Wrath.  Its a cool name.  You've got to admit that its much better than BC Babies, but what will the Child of Wrath have missed?  What will the Child of Wrath never have seen?  What is destined to be their legacy in the world?

A Child of Wrath will have no concept of Outland as a slow leveling zone.  Even leveling normally and skipping instances,  a Child of Wrath is likely to hit level 68 before they ever leave Terokar forest.  A Child of Wrath is likely to have almost never seen, Blades Edge Mountains.  A Child of Wrath is likely to have never ventured into Netherstorm or Shadowmoon Valley.  A Child of Wrath may have no concept of where Tempest Keep is.  A Child of Wrath will have never danced in the halls of Karazhan by the pale moonlight.

A Child of Wrath will have no concept of a 3 hour Shadow Labs run.  They'll have no concept of instances that take more than an hour to complete.

A Child of Wrath will have no concept of what it meant to grind through attunement for Karazhan.  A child of Wrath will have no concept of endlessly grinding rep in instances over and over without just swapping a tabard and getting different reputation.

A Child of Wrath will have no concept of a what day one in Hellfire Peninsula is like.  A Child of Wrath will never have lived in a world where the King of Stormwind didn't sit on the throne.  A child of Wrath will never see the duplicity of Onyxia.  A Child of Wrath will never have seen Lord Bolovar before stepping foot into Northrend.

Finally a Child of Wrath will live in a world where a level 55 character can be created as soon as they have another level 55 character

It is a brave new world.  What other things will a Child of Wrath have missed?

LEVEL 70 INSTANCES:

Getting THE KEY TO KARAZHAN

Yes, We (in <Orphanz> Guild) still get "keyed" for Kara!
Below is what you need to do, and in what order, to get the "Master Key", which is the key that opens the door to Karazhan.

Karazhan  --- a level 70 ---- 10-man instance in Duskwood.

You must go do a quest and then do several Instances to Get keyed for Karazhan (KZ):

1. Pick up the Quest line to Karazhan outside KZ (Duskwood), and do the 2 quests there (in the cellars of the ruins in front of Karazhan).  Go talk to the guy in front of Karazhan again.

Then he will send you to the outskirts of "Dalaran" (not the one in Northrend). He wants you go to go Southshore and run to the Alterac Mountains / Hillsbrad Foothills (north of Southshore) to the edge of Lordamere Lake near where Dalaran USED to be located (NOT to Northrend).

The npc by the hut next to the Lake will send you to Shatt City to talk to A'dal, who is located in the center of the Terrace of Light (the leader).  He will send you to get the first key fragment, which is located in Shadow Labs. But if you do not have the key to open the gate to get into Shadow Labs, you will have to go to Sethekk Halls first. SO...

2. Go do Sethekk Halls (to get Key to go to Shadow Labs. You can't get into SL without a key.). (Tekkaar Forest - Auchindown)

3. Go do Shadow Labs (get 1st key frag). (Tekkaar Forest - Auchindown) [NOTE: Someone MUST have the key to open the door to Shadow Labs. If you don't have it, you MUST do Sethekk Halls to get that key. It's in a box on the floor AFTER you kill the last boss.]

4. After you go to Shadow Labs, you will have to go back to Shatt City to talk to Kaz, who is located in the center of the Terrace of Light (beside A'dal, the leader), and turn in the quest.  He will give you another quest to go get the second and third key fragments, which are located in the Steamvault and in Arcatraz.

5. Go do The Steamvault (get 2nd key frag). (Zangermarsh - Coilfang Reservoir)

6. Go do Arcatraz (get 3rd key frag). (Netherstorm - Tempest Keep)
[
NOTE: --- You can't get into Arcatraz without (1) a key and (2) a flying mount. So be sure to bring someone along who has the key and can unlock the door, or a rogue who can pick the lock, or GO get the Key. [If no one has it, you will need to go do the quest chain to get the key. See the section below to get the Steps to Follow to get the Key to Arcatraz.]

7. After you go to The Steamvault and to Arcatraz and get those two key fragments, you will have to go back to Shatt City to talk to Kaz again, who is located in the center of the Terrace of Light (beside A'dal, the leader), and turn in the quest.  He will give you another quest to go get finish quest chain and get the Master Key.  He will send you to the Caverns of Time in Tanaris.

8. If you have not been to the Caverns of Time before, you will first have to do a "walk around" with some npcs to learn the history of the place.  Then you will have to Go do "Old Hillsbrad - The Escape from Durnhold (Thrall's escape) The Opening of the Dark Portal" - (Caverns of Time in Tanaris

[NOTE: You only need to do the "Old Hillsbrad" instance if you haven't done it before.  Every person must do this instance before they can do Black Morass. If all the party has done "Old Hillsbrad" in the past, you can skip doing it again and go directly to Black Morass.]

9. Then Go do Black Morass (and get the key blessed). (Caverns of Time in Tanaris)

10. Go back to Shatt City and turn in the quest and get the "Master Key".

Now you can go to KARAZHAN ---- with a group of 10 of your guildies.
